The girls were so excited to ride in a plane again and we were prepared with snacks and electronics!
What an awesome surprise we had when Sally and Frank met us at the airport. It was the first time that the girls and I had met them and we so happy:) They even brought the girls Frozen gifts, which they use all of the time:)
After a pit stop at the hotel to change for dinner, we stopped to sample some honey at the Savannah Bee Company...yum!
In traditional Ava fashion, she fell asleep in my lap at dinner. It was a long day and we were so happy to finally be there. We all feel in love with Charleston right from the start.
To the beach! The water was warm and calm and the girls loved swimming, building castles and of course eating ice cream!
We got a fancy ride from dinner in this "bike-drawn" carriage. So fun!
There was so much beautiful scenery and historic buildings that I was in photographers heaven. Luckily, the girls humored me.
Hands down, the best part of the whole trip for us. This plantation was amazingly beautiful and we didn't even get to see all of it...which means of course that we have to come back:)
I'm in love with the beautiful trees and the Spanish moss!
Ella and Ava still talk about this! We had no idea there was a petting area and the animals were so sweet and gentle.
Sally and Frank came to enjoy the plantation with us!
We went to Middleton Plantation on another day, which was also amazing
Ella thought it was hysterical at one point that the sheep snuck out of their area and the people had to help get them back
There were snuggly animals everywhere here too
We found this cool fountain later that day and the girls didn't believe us when we told them that they were allowed to play and swim in it...
Then we dried off on the pier in a huge swing. They could have sat swinging forever
Snuggles and shenanigans at the hotel.
Ava couldn't believe that the closet at the French Quarter was big enough for her to fit in
Wrestle time
The fountain where we ate breakfast at the French Quarter
Ahhh..pool time:)
Cookies and Milk from the lobby at bedtime!
Charleston Aquarium with Sally and Frank. What an amazing place!
The girls got to feed mini shrimp to the stingrays
A quick pit stop at the candy store
Sugar Bakeshop....WOW!!
Coloring before dinner
Enjoying/painting with ice cream in town
We had an absolutely fabulous time and cannot wait to go back. It was so wonderful to finally meet Bob's aunt and uncle and many special memories were created:)
