Happy First Birthday Ava!!!!!

We celebrated Ava's first birthday today and had a great time.

Ella and I made cupcakes and Ella, being just like her daddy, was more interested in the frosting than anything else. She was so excited to be making Ava's first - ever cupcake:)

Ava wasn't exactly sure what to do with the cupcake at first...

Ella tried to help her out by showing her how to pick it up...

...but Ava decided to just try to eat it right off of her tray.

She LOVED the frosting and finally picked it up after a while

She was excited about her presents, but I think Ella had more fun opening them for her

She was pretty tired after the whole ordeal and needed a break

Ella got her very own Lite Brite for Ava's birthday

Hooray for me...

Ava loves to speed-crawl down the hallway and try to get up the stairs. She shrieks and giggles when she hears me coming after her and climbs even faster
